Simple Turkey Day Crafts & Activities

Not to ruffle your feathers, but while you’ve got the turkey perfectly stuffed and cooking, have you thought about what you’ll do with the little turkeys running around the house? Thanksgiving is full of family, fun and food. But it can also mean tight spaces and fidgety kids. So why not get them crafting, creating and cutting with these simple Turkey Day crafts and activities?!

If your family is like ours, as soon as we walk in the door for Thanksgiving, the kids take off to play with their cousins while the adults talk (and graze). We all come together for the meal, but afterwards the kids once again disappear. They typically only resurface when they need something… something to drink, ask to take off their shirts, tattle, or tell us that they’re bored. Sound familiar?

How about promoting some quality family time with the whole family doing a Thanksgiving craft? Okay… so maybe not the whole family. We know the men will be gathered around the TV watching football, someone will inevitably take a nap, and that Grandpa would rather work on his 3rd plate of dessert. But, some simple crafts with the kids could be the highlight of the day.

I do realize that you might not want to pull out the paints for your toddler at your host’s house. Those crafts would be better done at home leading up to Turkey Day. However, there are lots of wonderful printables and easy prep, pack-and-go craft ideas here that are tastefully fun for kids of all ages.

Get the kids crafting and they will be stuffed with things to entertain them!
